Mode of application
Contact adhesive based on polychlorodoprene. Does not contain aromatic additives. Specially designed for use with all Armacell insulation materials except HT/Armaflex. Characterized by excellent adhesion to metal surfaces. Not suitable for painted surfaces, asphalt, bitumen and other oil-based surfaces.
For determine the readiness of the surface, use the (so-called) "finger" method: if when a finger touches the surface on which the glue is applied, thin "threads" of glue follow the finger, then the surface is not yet ready. If they no longer stretch, the surface is ready for gluing. Carefully connect the surfaces to be bonded and briefly squeeze them with force. The adhesive reaches the required strength after 36 hours. Before the expiration of this period, insulated equipment cannot be put into operation. Glue joints must not be covered with self-adhesive tape or paint, with the exception of Armafinish 99 paint.
